Here's how I work with my clients to make is happen:
- The Agreement: Project Scope, Terms and Conditions
We begin with a clear picture of the site, its mission, and what you'll need from me. We discuss timeframe and expectations, and then I create a proposal. If you accept the proposal, we complete a Project Agreement so that everything is very clear up front. Then we are ready to begin working! - Strategic Direction
I meet with you by phone or in person to discuss your sites objectives.
The more material you can provide up front the better. This may include background materials, talking points, photographs and other such items, but ... The most important information is usually gathered in these sessions. This outlines all the critical information I need to create a great site for you. - Concept Recommendations
I will develop site 'theme' options for your site layout. I'll discuss these options with you and you can select one as the foundation for your site. I will provide sample pages so you can know exactly what the proposed site would look like. We can discuss these layouts and choose the one that stands out as the strongest for your needs. If I feel that one really nails your mission and you approve the direction, I can begin site development. - Site Content
If a site makeover is our agreed scope of work, I will conduct a review of your current site and provide you with an evaluation of the site's strengths and weaknesses. As in the steps above, I will meet with you and discuss your new objectives. I will work with you on site redesign and will work with your current site host in ensuring a smooth and problem free rollout upon final testing and approval. - Final Approval and Completion
I will make any final revisions requested and send you a final 'test' site for your review and approval. Once you accept the site, I'll work with your current host to get it properly uploaded and published.
